Refund Policy

1. Free Trial

All new SyncBooks SG accounts include a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card or payment is required during the trial period. Your trial begins on the date your account is created.

At the end of your 30-day trial, you will be prompted to select a subscription plan and provide payment details to continue using the service. If you do not subscribe, your account will enter a restricted state — your data is retained but features are locked until you subscribe.

2. Subscription Nature

SyncBooks SG is a subscription-based SaaS (Software as a Service) product. All subscription fees are charged monthly in Singapore Dollars (SGD) and billed in advance at the start of each billing cycle. Your first charge occurs when you subscribe after or during your trial period.

3. No-Refund Policy

Because we offer a full 30-day free trial before any payment is required, subscription fees once charged are generally non-refundable. This includes:

  • Mid-cycle cancellations — you retain access until the end of the paid period
  • Unused days within a billing month after cancellation
  • Downgrades to a lower plan — changes take effect at the next billing cycle
  • Accounts suspended due to breach of our Terms of Service

4. Exceptions — When We Will Refund

We will consider refunds on a case-by-case basis in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate charges caused by a billing system error on our end
  • Extended service outages (more than 72 consecutive hours) attributable to us
  • Charges made after a documented cancellation request was submitted and confirmed

5. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used at checkout. Processing time is typically 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.

6. Plan Changes

You may upgrade your plan at any time. The price difference will be prorated and charged immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of the next billing cycle — no partial refund is issued for remaining days on a higher-tier plan.

7. Cancellation Process

To cancel your subscription, go to Account Settings → Subscription → Cancel Subscription. You will receive a confirmation email. Your access continues until the end of the current paid billing period. Your data is retained for 90 days after cancellation in case you wish to reactivate.
